My XBOX doesn't have an optical output. Will it work with the HotSeat?
You need to purchase a separate AV pack for XBOX. These are available in two types, composite (for high definition) and SVIDEO/RCA for standard sets.
As a side note, the AV packs provide much higher quality video via SVIDEO or Composites if your set supports them. In addition to taking advantage of HotSeat's awesome 5.1 capabilities, you'll also enjoy a much sharper picture and far more vivid colors.
My Nintendo Gamecube says that it supports Dolby Pro Logic2. Will it work with the HotSeat?
HotSeat supports a multitude of devices and connections. Although you won't experience DTS or Dolby 5.1, You will experience the full sound capabilities of the Nintendo's and experience your games in the way the developers intended.
HotSeat can support DVD players, televisions, walkmans, IPODS and virtually any audio device.
Is the seat adjustable?
You can adjust the "legroom" and the tilt of the seat as well.
Is the seating position suitable for small children?
The seating position can be moved forward and back more than 24", comfortably accomodation players as small as 36" to as large as 72" and over.
What is the best position for the subwoofer/amplifier unit?
Most definately to your sides, with your gaming unit on top. The subwoofer unit can be placed at any side you are most comfortable with.
Is it safe to place my game system on top of the HotSeat's subwoofer box?
The HotSeat's subwoofer enclosure is made from solid wood, is magnetically sealed and generates very little heat. We've designed the HotSeat with this in mind, as it makes it easier for you to change titles and reset your system without leaving your seat.
Can I connect two HotSeats to the same XBOX in the same room?
You can easily connect two HotSeats to the same gaming system using a standard "Y" cable sold at any Walmart or Radio Shack store. Both units can still take advantage of the Dolby Surround capablities in this configuration as well.
Can I adjust the subwoofer volume?
Yes! Each of the 6 speakers can be individually adjusted to suit your listening tastes.
What if I have an XBOX, Gamecube AND a PS2? Can I connect all 3?
HotSeat supports up to three audio devices, and you can switch audio between them "on the fly" using the remote control.
How do I attach the steering wheel?
The steering wheels are attached via their own clamping mechanisms. We've added a special textured coating the the bottom of the mounting table on the HotSeat to prevent slippage.
